Red Brigade Films series: Nani Chacon
This short documentary in our STTLMNT series features Diné and Xicana artist Nani Chacon, filmed at her studio in Albuquerque, NM as she shelters in place. Nanibah "Nani" Chacon is most recognized as a painter, muralist, and installation artist, but also often works in collaboration with her sister Autumn Chacon. Together they will launch an exceptional collaboration, IAM: Indigenous Access Media, amplified through STTLMNT Digital Occupation in the coming weeks. IAM is a public common for Indigenous People worldwide, by providing a media host where individuals and groups can share content made by and for Indigenous People on an independent online platform.

Diné and Xicana artist Nanibah "Nani" Chacon is most recognized as a painter, muralist, and installation artist. Often creating works that are both site specific and community engaged, with integration of socio political issues affecting women and indigenous peoples. Nani often collaborates with her sister Autumn Chacon through design based electronic installations called HÓLÓ which incorporate the use of sound and/or radio frequencies.
And please stay tuned, in 2021 sisters Autumn Chacon and Nani Chacon will launch a an exceptional collaboration, IAM: Indigenous Access Media, which will be amplified through the #STTLMNT Digital Occupation.
