Red Brigade Films series: Eric-Paul Riege

This short documentary in our STTLMNT series features Diné weaver and fiber artist Eric-Paul Riege filmed at their home in Gallup, NM as they shelter in place. When asked to reflect on their project and involvement in STTLMNT, Riege contemplates, “Thinking about terms of settlement and being a settled peoples, I wanted to celebrate our survival, and how we celebrate being peoples who survive settlement, and our stories that survive settlement. And so thinking of myself as a maker and thinking of these veins that run through, not only my body, but through the threads of the work and having this lineage of weavers through the women in my family. I wanted to celebrate the weaving, but then also have a shared knowledge of weaving between members of my family through the project called |-|—|-| aHome4Her; [for/four]
